1. IDP and Returnee Master List: provides data on the number of IDPs and returnees at the governorate, district, subdistrict and location levels, their shelter type, the period of displacement, areas of origin for IDPs and areas of last displacement for returnees. IOM’s RARTs collect data through interviews with key informants continuously and report it every two months. Additional information is gathered from government registration data and partner agencies. The Master List presents data on the number of individuals and households: the number of individuals is calculated by multiplying the number of households by six, the average size of an Iraqi household. 2. Location Assessment: provides an in-depth look into the situation of displaced and returning populations in Iraq, putting a special focus on profiling the locations in which these groups live. This includes the demographic composition of locations, state of infrastructure, services, security, social cohesion and movement intentions for IDPs. IOM’s RARTs collect data through interviews with key informants once a year, with the latest round being conducted from 1 May to 30 June 2019 (ILA Round IV). See more
3. Return Index: provides data on the severity of conditions in locations of return on 16 different indicators related to 1) livelihoods and basic services, and 2) safety perceptions and social cohesion. For each assessed location of return, the severity score is calculated. The scores range from 0 (all essential conditions for return are met) to 100 (no essential conditions for return are met). Higher scores denote more severe living conditions for returnees. The scores are grouped into three categories of severity: low, medium and high. IOM’s RARTs collect data through interviews with key informants continuously and report it every two months. The Return Index presents data on the number of individuals and households: the number of individuals is calculated by multiplying the number of households by six, the average size of an Iraqi household. 4. Cross-border monitoring: provides data on the number of individuals and vehicles transiting through five selected border points with Turkey, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is focused on profiling the travelers and migrants in terms of demographic characteristics, reasons for travel and vulnerabilities. Data is collected through observation and face-to-face interviews with travelers or migrants and reported on a monthly and quarterly basis. See more
5. Emergency Tracking: provides data on the number of individuals displaced due to recently emerging crises. Where possible, Emergency Tracking also provides data on the demographics, areas of origin, and vulnerabilities of those displaced due to crises. It is activated on an ad hoc basis to gather, consolidate and disseminate baseline information through daily/weekly updates. See more
